About me
Joshua Overland has a unique blend of expertise in education, technology, and hands-on craftsmanship. With 15 years of construction experience in locations across North America, he brings a deep understanding of construction trades to the classroom. As an educator, he was involved in the identification and naming of the CTS Combined Outcomes for the Calgary Board of Education, acted as CTS Learning Leader at both Lord Beaverbrook and CBe-learn High Schools, and has developed one-credit courses from every cluster of the CTS program of studies. In addition to his experience in construction, he is a Microsoft Power Apps developer, using technology to streamline educational processes and build custom applications for small businesses. In this session, he will showcase how AI can assist educators in generating activity instructions, materials lists, rubrics, and cost sheets, combining modern tech with traditional craftsmanship.
