This workshop will start with a presentation and discussion of the importance and the benefits of learning how to hand sew.  Hand Sewing can improve coordination and teach young people an important skill, not to mention its accessibility and portability.  It also promotes mindfulness, teaching students to slow down and focus on a process that requires attention.  The second portion of the workshop will go through activities done with Grade 8 students in CTF, and participants will be able to create a hand sewn project of their own, using felt and embroidery thread.

All supplies will be provided.
