Building an Outdoor Learning Space

This session introduces the Prairie Land Outdoor Learning Space being built outside of Youngstown, AB. The space is being to provide students with access to a wide variety of outdoor activities ranging from fishing to orienteering, as well as a dedicated land-based learning center for the entire division. The history, plan, challenges and successes related to this work in progress will be explored. Attendees are welcome to share their stories about getting kids outside and building the connection between the curriculum and the outdoors.
