This presentation will examine how Bow Valley College has successfully integrated apprenticeship-style learning for students pursuing a technology diploma in Software Development and Digital Design. The presentation will cover best practices that have emerged from this program, including strategies for engaging employers, and supporting students and employers throughout their apprenticeship journey. It will also address the challenges encountered, such as balancing academic rigor with practical experience, managing employer expectations, and ensuring programming met stakeholder expectations.

Participants will gain insights into the collaborative efforts required between the college and industry partners to create a robust model that not only equips students with technical skills but also prepares them for a seamless transition into the workforce.
